Lana Elkalubi is the co-founder and CEO of Affectiva, and a pioneer in the next frontier of artificial intelligence - emotional AI. Her award-winning emotion recognition technology is based on a scientific experimental platform that utilizes deep learning and the world's largest emotion database to analyze nearly 4.5 million faces from 75 countries worldwide, collecting over 50 billion emotion data points. Before founding Affectiva, Lana was a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Laboratory, leading the application of emotional technology in various fields, including mental health and autism research. She has published articles in multiple publications, including The New Yorker, Wired Magazine, Forbes, Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, CBS, Time, Fortune, and Reddit.
