Jurgen Stark

Juergenstach is a renowned German economist who served as an important member of the ECB Executive Committee from 2006 to 2011, responsible for economic and monetary analysis. He is known as the Chief Economist of the European Central Bank, although this is not his official title. Jurgen left the European Central Bank due to fundamental differences with banks over the controversial government bond purchase plan, although the European Central Bank announced that his resignation was due to personal reasons. From 1978 to 1998, he was responsible for formulating important economic policies in the German federal government. From 1998 to 2006, he served as the Vice President of the Deutsche Bank for two consecutive terms, and in 2004, he served as the President of the bank.
