Yves Leterme
From 2008 to 11, Evelytem served as the Prime Minister of Belgium. He has extensive political, economic, and international relations experience, and has held many important domestic and international roles. After retiring from Belgian politics, Letterme was appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, where he held the position from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, he was appointed as the Secretary General of the International IDEA, an intergovernmental organization in Stockholm. In the early stages of his career, Letem held various positions in various departments of the Belgian government. After becoming a city councilor in his hometown of Ipur, he served as a member of the House of Representatives, chairman of the group, leader of the opposition party, and CDamp of the Flanders Democratic Party; Secretary General and Chairman of V, Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Flemish Government, Federal Senator, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Budget and Mobility, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Prime Minister positions. During the Prime Minister's tenure, Belgium served as the rotating president of the European Union. Although Letterme gave a French name, he was proficient in Dutch, French, and English. Throughout his long political career, he has been fighting for the interests of Flanders and the Flemish language.
