Roger David Kornberg(born April 24,1947) is an Americanbiochemistandprofessorofstructural biologyatStanford UniversitySchool of Medicine. Kornberg was awarded theNobel Prize in Chemistryin 2006 for his studies of the process by which genetic information fromDNAis copied toRNA, "the molecular basis ofeukaryotictranscription."
