Norbert Lettgen, born in 1965, is a senior politician of the Christian Democratic League in Germany. He is one of the most eloquent and highly praised political figures in German politics. From 2009 to 2012, Lettgen served as the Federal Minister of Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety. After graduating in 1984, Norbert Lettgen studied law at the University of Bonn. He passed the judicial examination in 1989 and 1993, and engaged in legal practice in Cologne. In 2001, he obtained a doctoral degree in law from the University of Bonn. Letgen began his political career in high school. In 1982, he joined the CDU as the only student.
