Jean Frédéric Joliot-Curie(French:[fʁedeʁikʒɔljokyʁi];néJoliot; 19 March 1900 – 14 August 1958) was a Frenchchemistandphysicistwho received the 1935Nobel Prize in Chemistrywith his wife,Irène Joliot-Curie, for their discovery ofinduced radioactivity.They were thesecond married couple, after his parents-in-law, to win the Nobel Prize, adding to theCurie family legacyof five Nobel Prizes.
