Cornelius James Lenslessat was born on January 27, 1965 in Gloucester, England. Since June 2001, he has been working as a horse racing journalist for the BBC Radio 5 Live channel, previously held by Peter Bromley. Lesser grew up in Herefordshire and attended Eton School. He is a broadcaster for Gloucester Severn Sound and Brighton Southern Sound radio stations, as well as a receiver for the Racing Hotline, and is one of the earliest broadcast voices on Radio 5 Live. Cornelius joined the BBC in 1990 to broadcast the latest morning sports events and children's networks, and later the channel evolved from Radio 5 to Live 5 live streaming. At the forefront of the competition, he reported on a series of fresh news events, including the nearly fatal air crash of Frankie DeTory and the strong response of jockeys to the new whip rules. In 2003, as a renowned announcer on BBC Radio 5 Live Channel, Lesatt helped the team win the Sony Award for his excellent coverage of the Chertenham Festival. He has written articles for the London Evening Standard, Horse and Hound magazine, The Sunday Mirror, The Times, The Guardian, Radio Times, and BBC. He is also one of the most active BBC sports figures on Twitter.
