George Martin made 17 appearances in the Hugo Awards annual runoff, won 4 awards, made 13 appearances in the Nebula Awards annual runoff, and won 2 awards. He has won one World Fantasy Award, one Bloomstock Award for the highest honor of horror fiction, 12 Most Popular Fiction Awards for authoritative magazine tracks, and other national awards. His work 'Song of Ice and Fire' has been translated into dozens of languages and has won awards in various countries.
