James Blunt, born James Hillill Blunt on 22 February 1974 in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England, is an English pop singer and former reconnaissance officer in the British Army, who graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in sociology. In 1999, he participated in the Kosovo War. He retired from the British Army in 2002 and began a musical career. On October 11, 2004, he released his first solo album Back to Bedlam.
