Leibert, a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and founder of Boston Dynamics, served as a professor at Carnegie Mellon University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and established Boston Dynamics in 1992. Before founding Boston Dynamics, Leibert founded a laboratory called Leg Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986, specializing in the study of bipedal robots. It can be said that Leibert's affection and passion for foot robots have a long history. Later, Boston Power Company was founded and has been focusing on developing biomimetic robots. The company maintains a close cooperative relationship with DARPA, the Advanced Research Projects Agency of the US Department of Defense. He has produced famous biomimetic military robots such as Big Dog and Pet Man, and has accumulated rich experience in this field
