Dan Cockerell, former Disney executive. The shared insights help others improve their performance and strive for greater excellence. Cockerell first played for Disney in the summer of 1989. At that time, he was a front desk attendant at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando, USA, and participated in the Walt Disney World University project in this capacity. In 1991, Cockerell graduated from Boston University. As soon as he graduated, he moved to Florida and participated in the Disneyland Paris Management Trainee Program. In January 1992, three months before the opening of Disneyland Paris, he was transferred to France. He worked there for five years and held various management positions. Cockerell has held various management and administrative operations positions at Walt Disney World Resort, including work related to theme parks and resort hotels. At the same time, he served as the sixth vice president of the Magic Kingdom resort located in Florida, United States, since the opening of Disney World in 1971. Dan Cockerell believes that establishing interpersonal relationships is the key to successfully unleashing leadership; In the workplace, his approachability is a testament to his people-oriented philosophy. In addition to doing his job well, Cockerell has also served as the keynote speaker at the world-renowned Disney Institute for eighteen years now. He has given multiple public speeches and also delivered speeches to audiences of customized courses. He has been invited to participate in customized courses and give speeches by Bank of America, General Motors, the United States Department of State, the US Army, Southern Methodist University Business School, Porsche Corporation, and United Airlines. From 2004 to 2018, he served as a member of the Central Florida Youth Achievement Committee and was elected chairman in 2010.
