Nigel served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Legal General Insurance Group in 2009 and was appointed as the Group CEO in June 2012. Before joining Legal General Insurance, Nigel was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Business Media in the United States. Prior to December 31, 2012, Nigel served as a Senior Independent Director of Capital Group Limited and as a Senior Independent Director and Chairman of Harford Group Limited until March 31, 2011. In addition, he has also worked at McKinsey&Company, providing consulting services to well-known client companies such as BP, Citibank, Cadbury, and the Global Investment Trust. He has also served as the Business Director of Dixon Group, CEO of Guinness Pitt Airways, and General Manager of Green Capital. Nigel holds a doctoral degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is a Kennedy Scholar, recipient of the Alfred P Sloan Research Scholarship, and has previously worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Nigel has won numerous athletics championships, including the 800 meter British Masters.
