Moungi Mohammed Salah Bawendi(Arabic:منجي محمد صلاح الباوندي; born 15 March 1961)is an Americanchemist.He is currently theLester WolfeProfessor at theMassachusetts Institute of Technology.Bawendi is known for his advances in the chemical production of high-qualityquantum dots.For this work, he was awarded theNobel Prize in Chemistryin 2023.
